Finding the perfect denims for you

jeans.jpg

Finding the perfect pair of jeans is perhaps the hardest task in the world. Either they’re too tight at the waist or too loose, too tight at the thighs or too loose, if you’re a woman you know what I mean when I say its tough the find the perfect pair of jeans.  There are a hundred brands out there in the market offering different fits, cuts, colors, kind of wash etc.

For a petite woman there is a constant struggle to avoid looking like a little girl. For petite women the perfect jeans would be skinny jeans as they draw attention to your womanly curves as well as show your age. Skinny jeans are very flattering as they draw attention to your assets. However if you are not on the thin side it would be best for you to avoid skinny jeans. If you have a waist size of over 32 you should best avoid skinny jeans as they will make your thighs looks enormous.

For a women who tends to be a little on the fat side the most flattering type of jeans is the medium rise jeans of medium width with a straight or slightly boot cut leg. Many may argue that boot cut is out of fashion and so for them the straight leg is perfect. Mid rise jeans take away the attention from your midriff and make your legs look longer. They also emphasize your curves and gives your body a far slimmer appearance.

If you’re in your late thirties or forties it is advisable for you to stop chasing trends and instead get a pair of denims that flatter your body type and make you look classy instead of someone who’s desperately hanging onto her teenage.

Applying the perfect make-up base

 10yy_makeup_4_gallery.jpg

This time around the topic of choice is make-up or rather the perfect base for your make up.  The key to have your make-up look professional and perfect is to get the base right. Getting the base wrong could ruin any make-up you put on. However you could get the base right. These three easy steps will show you how:

Step I- The first thing to do is to moisturize well because all bases apply well to well hydrated skin. Remember that it is extremely important to remove all the excess moisture because if you apply foundation to greasy skin, the foundation is bound to run.

Step 2- The second thing to do is to apply the foundation. The worst mistake you can make is to apply huge swathes of foundation. It should be applied in a few dots around the face and then blended together with fingers or a sponge meant for this purpose. Make sure it is well blended around the jaw and the hairline because any spaces tend to easily noticeable here. Also find the exact shade which suits your complexion because otherwise you will tend to look too made up.

Step 3- Applying concealer is the final step in applying the base for make up.  Use the concealer to cover any shadows or lines that happen to be showing through the foundation. You may need to use a darker concealer if you have a tan.

Apply the concealer in the same manner as the foundation. Smear a few dots and apply it all over the face in a gentle back and forth motion. Avoid pulling or rubbing the skin, especially in areas where it is sensitive.

If you have the perfect base on your make-up is sure to look fabulous. Only thing as always, don’t go overboard.

The ugliest shoe ever?

crocs_new_styles_jibbitz.jpg

Some love em, most hate em, but you certainly can’t ignore them. Crocs are the most popular footwear in a long time and I honestly can find any explanation for that. The clogs which are made of resin and available in hundreds of colors were first manufactured around 5 years ago and have caused quite a bit of a sensation in the fashion world.

Available in more than one variant, these shoes start at $ 30 a pair and have received quite a shower of compliments.  They are made from a kind of proprietary resin that softens with heat and allows the shoe to mold itself to the wearer’s feet, making the shoe extremely comfortable.

These shoes were originally intended for boatmen and people working at ports and piers because of their slip-resistant soles but soon began being a favorite among people who stay on the feet a lot. The shoes have holes all around and also near the soles and thus are well ventilated and odor resistant.

Available in the regular style and also in Alice, Beach, Caymen, Spring, Hot Wedge and Athens styles, it looks like Crocs are here to stay. The shoes are available in a variety of colors and styles for men, women and children.  They allow air to pass which makes wearing comfortable and are also fungus and bacteria resistant. The shoes are also very easy to clean and perfect for anything that involves working in messy conditions.

The shoe has also been the recipient of countless ugliest shoe awards, but that only seems to be adding to the shoe’s ever growing popularity. Even celebrities like Jack Nicholson, Mario Batali, Faith Hill and Terri Hatcher have been spotted wearing them, which only ups the shoe’s fashion quotient many notches. The shoes have now reached various corners of the world and are showing no signs of slowing down.
