The ugliest shoe ever?

Some love em, most hate em, but you certainly can’t ignore them. Crocs are the most popular footwear in a long time and I honestly can find any explanation for that. The clogs which are made of resin and available in hundreds of colors were first manufactured around 5 years ago and have caused quite a bit of a sensation in the fashion world.

Available in more than one variant, these shoes start at $ 30 a pair and have received quite a shower of compliments.  They are made from a kind of proprietary resin that softens with heat and allows the shoe to mold itself to the wearer’s feet, making the shoe extremely comfortable.

These shoes were originally intended for boatmen and people working at ports and piers because of their slip-resistant soles but soon began being a favorite among people who stay on the feet a lot. The shoes have holes all around and also near the soles and thus are well ventilated and odor resistant.

Available in the regular style and also in Alice, Beach, Caymen, Spring, Hot Wedge and Athens styles, it looks like Crocs are here to stay. The shoes are available in a variety of colors and styles for men, women and children.  They allow air to pass which makes wearing comfortable and are also fungus and bacteria resistant. The shoes are also very easy to clean and perfect for anything that involves working in messy conditions.

The shoe has also been the recipient of countless ugliest shoe awards, but that only seems to be adding to the shoe’s ever growing popularity. Even celebrities like Jack Nicholson, Mario Batali, Faith Hill and Terri Hatcher have been spotted wearing them, which only ups the shoe’s fashion quotient many notches. The shoes have now reached various corners of the world and are showing no signs of slowing down.
