Pack smart when you travel

Packing for a vacation and find that you have too many clothes to carry? That often happens when you try to pack clothes for every possible situation. You can streamline your wardrobe so that you choose a few key pieces of clothing that will make you look fashionable and feel comfortable at the same time.

When you’re travelling comfort is of high essence. But at the same time you don’t want your clothes to be all crinkled up. So when you’re packing make sure you include stuff that stretches. These will be more comfortable and will remain relatively wrinkle free.

Take on sarong or wrap around along when you’re going. These can turn out to be quite handy. They can be used when you’re at the pool, or at the beach or even at a dinner.

Take at least two pairs of sweaters if you’re going somewhere it rains or tends to get cold. You could carry along v-neck sweaters as they look appropriate whether the occasion is formal or casual.

When you’re packing don’t neglect your footwear. This is essential because shopping for the right kind of footwear is not the easiest task. Be sure to include a pair of casual sandals or sneakers for the day time and also one pair of formal footwear in case you attend a formal dinner party or some such event.

Take one hat along with yourself if you’re going on a summer vacation. You can look fashionable as well as protect yourself from the sun. Be sure to take one and avoid getting sun burnt.

One more very important thing when you’re travelling is to not travel too light. You shouldn’t run out of clothes on the trip and be forced to buy something there. Carry enough so that you have a few extra sets.

Travel wear

When you are travelling the most important thing is comfort and functionality. When on a long trip it is important that the clothes you wear are comfortable rather than fashionable. What may be ideal for a day at the mall or a visit to the art gallery isn’t necessarily right for when you are travelling.

If you are travelling in the summer your clothes should make you feel cool and light. So dressing in a t-shirt or blouse and shorts or thin pants would be ideal. You could also wear sneakers or sandals and flip-flops. However wearing jeans while travelling in summer could become problematic as the day goes on and the fabric tends to stick to your body with the heat.

Travelling in the winter requires you to travel with a few extra pairs of warm clothing in case the place where you’re headed has a storm or rains. It would be excessively uncomfortable if you travel only with light clothing and are then stuck in a blizzard or storm. It is always better to be adequately protected and to be on the safe side.

In case you are going camping or hiking it is necessary to wear boots so that you do not have any problems while climbing mountains or cliffs. In case you are going to the beach be sure to carry extra pairs of clothing because you will often swim in the sea and you do not want to run out of dry clothes to wear. If you are going to a place where the weather is unpredictable it is advisable to carry a few extra clothes and a pullover or cardigan just in case it starts raining or becomes chilly.

If you are stuck with uncomfortable and unsuited clothes or footwear it can make a holiday rather an unpleasant experience. So remember to dress for comfort and functionality rather than fashion.
