Finding the perfect denims for you

jeans.jpg

Finding the perfect pair of jeans is perhaps the hardest task in the world. Either they’re too tight at the waist or too loose, too tight at the thighs or too loose, if you’re a woman you know what I mean when I say its tough the find the perfect pair of jeans.  There are a hundred brands out there in the market offering different fits, cuts, colors, kind of wash etc.

For a petite woman there is a constant struggle to avoid looking like a little girl. For petite women the perfect jeans would be skinny jeans as they draw attention to your womanly curves as well as show your age. Skinny jeans are very flattering as they draw attention to your assets. However if you are not on the thin side it would be best for you to avoid skinny jeans. If you have a waist size of over 32 you should best avoid skinny jeans as they will make your thighs looks enormous.

For a women who tends to be a little on the fat side the most flattering type of jeans is the medium rise jeans of medium width with a straight or slightly boot cut leg. Many may argue that boot cut is out of fashion and so for them the straight leg is perfect. Mid rise jeans take away the attention from your midriff and make your legs look longer. They also emphasize your curves and gives your body a far slimmer appearance.

If you’re in your late thirties or forties it is advisable for you to stop chasing trends and instead get a pair of denims that flatter your body type and make you look classy instead of someone who’s desperately hanging onto her teenage.

5 footwear must haves for women

Footwear speaks volumes about what kind of person you are, your sense of dressing and your personality. A spunky, vivacious person wears brightly colored shoes while a more conservative person wear regular sneakers or flat shoes. Here is a guide to the essential pairs of footwear one must own:

converse.jpg

Converse sneakers: Converse is classic, goes with everything and will never go out of fashion. They come with all sorts of designs and in all colors but a black hi top is a must. It is great if you have a red one or a white pair. Rock stars wear them, your class chemistry geek wears them, they’re just so cool.

Black heels: Black heels are to footwear what the little black dress is to clothes. Elusive yet so necessary. Every woman should absolutely own a pair of black strappy heels. They go with sexy dresses and even with a pant suit to give you a businesslike but yet very feminine look. Even if you have to spend a little extra for them it’s well worth it. They’re classic and you can always buy one less pair of any other kind of footwear you plan to.

Flip Flops: Flip flops are colorful and they come in almost every color and style and are made by the big brands and they’re also available real cheap. They go great with jeans, skirts, shorts, almost anything. And they’re just so comfortable.

Sneakers: You have to have one pair of really comfortable sports shoes. These aren’t only worn when you work out. They go great with jeans and there are so many options and styles available that you can really have one each in your favorite colors.

Slip in sandals: Another important must have is a pair of sandals. They can be the slightly girly ones in shades like brown, black and beige or maybe something like red or they can be the sporty kinds. Whatever works for you.

being a hot mommy

Everyone likes dressing up and people have their own unique styles of dressing. During maternity however fashion takes a bit of a backseat. This week we have a few secrets on how to go shop and dress during those months.

First think before buying too many maternity clothes. They are expensive and you will only wear them for a few months. Borrow from people you know or buy them from sales. Or else raid your mom’s cupboard or your partner’s. There’s definitely something there that would fit you.

During the first few months of your pregnancy don’t go overboard and buy clothes. Try buying a few transitional pieces. Buy trousers a couple of sizes bigger and loose tops. You could also try buying at plus size stores.

Don’t be afraid to show off your clothes. For any woman, no matter what her size form fitting is always more flattering than baggy clothes.

Don’t be afraid to show a little skin either. Do not go overboard though. A little show of skin however, is always flattering.

When you’re pregnant you could try to dress in one single colour. This does not mean wearing accessories of the same color and going overboard. Covering your entire body in one color makes you look slimmer and more together.

During pregnancy a woman’s body retains water and joints become looser so the foot sizes of most women increase. During pregnancy it’s safer to wear open shoes and sandals so you remain more comfortable.

It’s also very important to accessorize. Accessories make the most drab of outfits come alive. You can accessorize a basic piece of clothing like a black dress with thing such as funky shoes, a bright piece of jewellery such as turquoise etc.

Being pregnant doesn’t mean you have to look boring. You can still be as sexy as usual.

Women’s Clothing

V-neck sweaters are back with a bang this winter. I’m seeing lots of ladies around me wearing v-necks with formal shirts of the same color tone.  Pairing them up with a nice smart scarf also really sends the fashion metres soaring.

Another thing that has been in vogue all this year is the dress. Whether loose buttoned up short dresses with prints or elegant fitting ones everyone has been wearing the dress. The little black cocktail dress never goes out of fashion but it is one of those things that is so hard to find that most women spent an entire lifetime making do with other things.

One of the biggest things this year has been skinny jeans. From the huge designer brands to regular ones and even non-branded manufacturers this is the latest rage. Almost everyone I’ve seen in the past six month is wearing skinny jeans. The ones that are fitting and taper down to the ankles. Although they are really smart and very flattering, they do not look good on ladies who are a little overweight. The jeans draw attention to the fact that the person’s thighs are much thicker than their calves and make the person look very funny and does not flatter the figure at all. For such people it is best to stick to straight fit jeans which give you the appearance of having longer and thinner legs.

Another huge fad this year was the ballerina shoes in a myriad colors. All across the globe people were wearing them and in almost every color. There were ones in black, silver and gold to wear with every outfit and then there were those who favored them in pink, blue and other bright colors. These shoes are so pretty and dainty that they really add that something to your entire outfit.
